Synopsis
Brothers is a 2023 historical action drama film directed by Tomáš Mašín and written by Marek Epstein. The film is based on the nonfiction book *Gauntlet* by Barbara Mašín, which recounts the true story of brothers Josef Mašín and Ctirad Mašín. It follows their experiences during World War II, focusing on their resistance activities and the challenges they faced. The film was chosen as the Czech Republic's official submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the 96th Academy Awards, though it did not receive a nomination.
