This recording captures the final performance of the long-running production of G. Feydeau's comedy *A Flea in Her Ear*, directed by Jiří Menzel and staged by the Vinohrady Theater. The play had previously gained prominence at the Vinohrady Theatre in the 1960s under the direction of Václav Hudeček, with Vlastimil Brodský in the dual lead role. The studio version of the play is now regarded as a television classic. In the second half of the 1990s, the theater revisited this comedy and commissioned Jiří Menzel to direct a new production, giving another generation of actors the opportunity to participate. The premiere took place on November 15, 1996, and the production continued to be performed for twenty years. The recording is from April 6, 2016, the date of the 363rd and final performance, at which the director and many of the actors who had appeared in the play over the years were present.
