Brüder II

Four years have passed since the failed search for the "brothers" Ernst, Ludwig, and Adrian Stadler, who were united by the father's determination: "I have three still brothers." Ernst has since gained fame through a television cooking program and lives separately from Iris, the mother of his twins. Ludwig runs a well-regarded, middle-class restaurant, while Adrian assists in the kitchen there. After a suggestion from his friend Michael, Adrian moves out of the shared apartment and into his mother's house. The dynamic among the three so-called brothers continues to define their relationship. When Adrian processes the experiences of the father search in a novel, and a tender relationship develops between Ludwig and Iris, it appears that the resilience of the Stadler family has finally reached its limits, and their desire for confrontation has lost its unifying power.
