Synopsis
They have traveled countless dusty miles and engaged in fierce battles. Yet when these brave African-American cavalrymen arrive in a rough frontier town, they are forced to walk through it rather than ride. The town shows them disrespect, but their Native American enemies do not. Apache leader Victoria and other warriors bestow upon the horsemen a name of honor and strength: "Buffalo Soldiers." The troopers' bold pursuit of Victorio forms the core of this tribute to the former slaves and other African-Americans who served in the 9th and 10th U.S. Cavalry Regiments. Danny Glover, Mykelti Williamson, Glynn Turman, Carl Lumbly, and Michael Warren star in an adventure that brings to light this largely unknown story and the unique moral dilemma the men faced.
