Burden of Dreams
Synopsis
In 1979, the production team of *Fitzcarraldo* (1982), a film directed by German filmmaker Werner Herzog, encountered numerous challenges in the Amazon rainforest. These included difficulties with casting, conflicts with local tribes, and various accidents. However, the most significant obstacle was the task of hauling a large steamboat up a mountain. Throughout these difficulties, Herzog pursued his artistic vision with a resolute, almost obsessive determination.
