Burro Pack Train on the Chilcoot Pass
Synopsis
During the Alaska gold rush, one route to the Klondike was via the Chilkoot Pass. A stationary camera captures a view down the winding trail as a pack train comes into frame and passes in front of the viewer. The procession is led by a man on horseback, followed by eight loaded mules. Another cowboy on horseback and a man walking follow, then eight more mules, another cowboy, and nine additional laden mules. A further cowboy and more mules continue the line, which stretches as far as the eye can see. A lone man observes the scene from the top of a nearby hillock.
