Being thought to be dead in the battlegrounds, Binh came back home after more than ten years away from home. Thanks to the help of his best friends, Hoa and Can, he got back to work in Hanoi. In the young generation of Cuong, Lien and Thu, each of them had their own thought and direction. While Lien volunteered to work far from home, Cuong and Thu took advantages of their parents' relationships to solicit for a job in Hanoi. In the Lam Dong new economic zone, an official got shot and needed to be replaced by another. Binh volunteered to come and work there, but his family and his friend Can tried to stop him. Despite others' words, he was determined to live in his own ideals and lifestyle.
