Candy Candy
Synopsis
Candice White was left on the doorstep of the "Pony Home," an orphanage, as an infant. The sisters who found her named her after a doll in her basket marked "Candy," and added a surname inspired by the snowstorm during which she was discovered. Life at the Pony Home is generally peaceful—or as peaceful as it can be with Candice, who has a tendency to get into mischief, climb trees, and tussle with others. However, a series of tragedies begins to unfold.
