A Mexican doctor and an American veteran lead grassroots armies on opposite sides of the border, fighting to reclaim their communities from the chaos of the drug war.
Synopsis
In the Mexican state of Michoacán, Dr. Jose Mireles, a small-town physician known as "El Doctor," leads a citizen uprising against the Knights Templar, a violent drug cartel that has caused widespread disruption in the region for years. At the same time, in Arizona's Altar Valley—a narrow, 52-mile-long desert corridor referred to as Cocaine Alley—Tim "Nailer" Foley, an American veteran, leads a small paramilitary group named Arizona Border Recon. The group's objective is to prevent Mexico’s drug-related conflicts from spilling across the U.S. border.
