Synopsis
Cass follows a middle-class family in Detroit consisting of a single father, his fifteen-year-old daughter, and eleven-year-old son as their lives are transformed by the arrival of a mysterious artist who moves into the abandoned building next door. The film examines themes of desire and longing, as well as the secrets people keep to protect themselves and those they care about. It draws visual inspiration from Diego Rivera's murals in the courtyard to the vacant homes throughout Detroit neighborhoods.
