In a post-apocalyptic Earth ravaged by war and mutated neo-cells, the cyborg warrior Casshern—once a fallen hero—must lead humanity's last stand against the creatures threatening to erase what remains of the human race.

Synopsis
Fifty years of war between the Great Eastern Federation and Europa—now merged as Eurasia—have left Earth in a state of devastation. The widespread use of biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons has rendered much of the planet uninhabitable and introduced new, deadly diseases. Professor Azuma's "neo-cell" project, intended as a solution to humanity's crises, turns into a catastrophe when the experiment produces mutants that escape and launch a war against humans. Azuma's son, Tetsuya, who died during the earlier conflict, is reborn as the cyborg Casshern, humanity's final hope in the battle against the mutant threat. This live-action science fiction film is based on a 1973 Japanese anime of the same name.
