Synopsis
Anthony Azizi, an Iranian-American actor and member of the Baha’i faith, discusses the rising persecution of Baha’i communities in Iran amid the U.S.-Iran conflict. He highlights the imprisonment and torture of Baha’i individuals, calling it a 'war on human rights.' Azizi stars in the film 'Cast Aside the Clouds,' which explores the challenges faced by Baha’i people in Iran. The film, set in Iran and shot in Athens, follows a young Baha’i woman navigating systemic persecution and a forbidden romance with a Muslim neurologist. The film will have its U.S. premiere in New York City on May 18, followed by a Los Angeles premiere in June.
