Synopsis

Dame Eleonora Duse portrays a poor woman who, unable to care for and feed her child, leaves her illegitimate son with foster parents. Before departing, she gives the child an amulet to protect him. The amulet becomes the key that allows him to reconnect with his mother as he grows older.
