Synopsis
In 1928, as the arrival of sound films disrupted the film industry and cinematic style, Chaplin decided that his Tramp character would remain silent. *City Lights* would not be a talking picture, but it would feature a soundtrack. Chaplin personally composed the musical score and sound effects for the film. With Peter Lord, the co-creator of *Chicken Run* and *Wallace & Gromit*, we see how Chaplin became the king of slapstick comedy and a movie superstar.
