Charlatan
Synopsis
Jan Mikolasek, born in the early 20th century, gained wealth and prominence as an herbalist known for curing various diseases through unconventional methods. He became a notable figure in Czechoslovakia before World War II and remained respected during the Nazi occupation and the subsequent communist regime. Both regimes valued his abilities and ensured his protection. However, maintaining his position amid new political changes proved to be a significant challenge.
