Synopsis
Joseph Bologne, the illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, rose to remarkable prominence in French society as a renowned violinist, composer, and fencer. His career was marked by both acclaim and controversy, including an ill-fated love affair and a subsequent falling out with Marie Antoinette and her court.
