Synopsis
On May 12, 2008, a catastrophic earthquake struck Sichuan Province in rural China, resulting in nearly 70,000 deaths, including 10,000 children. In multiple towns, poorly constructed school buildings collapsed, destroying classrooms filled with students, most of whom were their parents' only child. As grieving parents sought answers and justice, they encountered obstacles including incompetence, corruption, and unfulfilled promises.
