Chinese Checkers
Synopsis
In the film, the Oriental predator is initially dressed in black, while her "victim" wears white. As the interaction unfolds, their costumes gradually shift: the victim dons a veil of mourning, and ultimately—highlighting the ambiguity and interchangeability of their roles—their colors are completely reversed. Even more intriguing is Dwoskin's technique of progressively adding layers of makeup to the characters' faces as the game becomes more uncertain, transforming them into near-caricature masks of their original appearances.
