Christmas Crash

A husband, wife, and their two daughters spend a Christmas break at a lodge in the woods. Tension is evident in their marriage, as the husband is preoccupied with his corporation and ongoing merger negotiations, even during their vacation. The wife feels neglected. To try to reconnect, he takes her on a light plane flight to a cabin across the lake, but the plane suddenly loses altitude and crashes into the lake before anyone is notified. The husband sustains more serious injuries, but with his wife's help, they make their way cross-country toward a distant highway. As they struggle to cross a ridge, the husband's business partner moves behind the scenes to sell the company to corporate raiders, apparently assuming the husband is dead. During their journey, they are attacked by rogue wolves and rescued just in time. Meanwhile, the FAA launches an investigation into the plane crash, and the family begins to recover from both the emotional and physical wounds they have endured.
