Synopsis
The Chinese view the lion as a symbol of good luck, which is why a half-dragon, half-lion—referred to as a dralion—serves as the emblem of this East-meets-West performance. It features 36 Chinese acrobats joining the renowned Canadian troupe. The show celebrates the four elements, each represented by a specific color: blue for air, green for water, red for fire, and ochre for earth. Dralion blends traditional Chinese circus elements with Cirque du Soleil's signature features, including a techno-oriented single ring, multicolored lighting and costumes, music that fuses rock, New Age, and various world influences (excluding Chinese), and clown acts that involve audience members in their antics.
