Synopsis

Lukas Maler is a butcher by trade, though he pursued this profession more out of necessity than passion. His true vocation was forensic medicine, for which he was known as the “Karajan with the scalpel.” His career as a coroner came to an end after he accidentally destroyed all evidence against the “24-hour-killer.” Around the same time, his marriage to his great love, Diana, also fell apart, as he was no longer able to offer her a stable future as a broken man. Lukas is given a second chance when a new serial killer emerges, terrorizing the city with murders that closely resemble those of the “24-hour-killer.” Diana, who has since risen to head of the forensic institute, realizes that only the best can solve the case. But the best is unavailable, so she turns to the second-best option: the most over-qualified butcher in town.
