Cleopatra: Portrait of a Killer

Directed by

Synopsis

Cleopatra is widely regarded as one of the most famous women in history. Known as a powerful queen, a passionate lover, and a skilled political figure, much of the evidence about her life has been lost over the past 2,000 years—until recent discoveries. In what is considered one of the world's most significant archaeological finds, experts believe they have uncovered the remains of Cleopatra's sister, who was reportedly killed by Cleopatra and Mark Antony. From Egypt to Turkey, Neil Oliver explores the life of a determined ruler who eliminated her siblings to secure power. The documentary presents a portrait of a woman willing to take extreme measures to maintain control.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 15

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
