Climbing the Matterhorn
Synopsis
Starting from the Swiss village of Zermatt, two people and a guide undertake a perilous ascent of the Matterhorn. Meanwhile, local villagers organize a torchlight rescue to aid a British couple who become trapped on the famous mountain. Irving Allen captured footage for the documentary while he was filming his feature film *High Conquest*. The film, shot in Ansocolor, won the Academy Award for Best Short Film in 1947.
