Copy Shop

A wordless story follows a man who wakes in his bed still wearing his clothes, including a checkered vest. He gets up, washes his face, combs his hair, and walks across the street to his job at a copy shop. While working, he accidentally makes a photocopy of his hand, after which the machine begins producing copies of photographs of himself, the street outside, and his apartment. He unplugs the copier and returns home. There, he reenacts the morning routine he had previously performed. Copies of himself emerge from the bed; he watches in confusion as they go to work. Soon, it appears he has become part of a society in which everyone looks like him and wears a checkered vest. The story ends with the question of whether he can return things to normal.
