Cosmic Rescue: The Moonlight Generations
Synopsis
In 2053, space exploration has become privatized, leading to increased accident rates. In response, global insurance agencies formed CR, or Cosmic Rescue, to recover victims of interstellar accidents and remove hazardous debris threatening other spacecraft. Nanjou Satoshi is the captain of CR Shift Division 89, working alongside Eguchi Ryo, his mechanic, and Sawada Azuma, a hot-headed rookie. Their routine consists of clearing debris. One day, Azuma intercepts an emergency beacon from a young girl. Division 89 responds, but the ship vanishes from their radar, and they are soon dismissed from CR. What happened to the ship and the girl? Was it a hallucination? Did the ship disappear, or was it hidden? The truth may come at a greater cost than just their jobs.
