Cream: Royal Albert Hall, London May 2-3-5-6 2005

The rock trio consisting of Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton—two jazz musicians and a blues guitarist—was one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, despite playing together for less than three years. They introduced a psychedelic fusion of blues and pop into the mainstream with albums such as *Fresh Cream* and *Wheels of Fire*; Clapton, widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, delivered some of his best work on those albums. London's Royal Albert Hall, the site of what was intended to be Cream's final performance in 1968, also hosted their reunion show. Performing as if they had been on a short break rather than disbanded for over three decades, Cream delivered a series of four shows that brought the house down, with excerpts from all of them featured here. The band performed classics such as "Spoonful," "Born Under a Bad Sign," "Sunshine of Your Love," and "White Room," among more than 20 other songs.
