Synopsis
The 1945 atomic-bomb explosion at Bikini Atoll is presented as a haunting and visually poetic event when shown in extreme slow motion, from 27 different angles, and accompanied by avant-garde Western classical music for electric organ composed by Terry Riley. The film was preserved by the Academy Film Archive in partnership with Pacific Film Archive in 1995.
