Cruel Instruction

The story follows 16-year-old Kayla Adams, whose mother, Karen, is advised by the school counselor to send Kayla to a youth residential treatment center after she is expelled from school. Kayla arrives at the facility in Utah on the same day as her roommate Amanda, a veteran of the treatment program who is aware of the nature of the facility. Under the leadership of headmistress Miss Connie, the staff employs strict and often harsh methods to control the students, including force-feeding medications, issuing arbitrary punishments, using solitary confinement, and engaging in verbal and physical abuse. As the girls are pushed to their limits and cut off from their support systems and the outside world, they form an alliance to survive and work together to expose the abuse before it escalates further.
