A skeptical American professor in London uncovers a sinister cult and a deadly supernatural force after his host dies under mysterious circumstances, forcing him to confront the limits of science and his own sanity.

Synopsis
American professor John Holden arrives in London for a conference on parapsychology, only to learn that the colleague he was scheduled to meet died in a freak accident the day before. It emerges that the deceased had been investigating a cult led by Dr. Julian Karswell. Although a skeptic, Holden becomes suspicious of Karswell, a devil-worshiper. Pursuing a trail of mysterious manuscripts, Holden enters a world that challenges his faith in science.
