Dany Cage, a story about emancipation

This film chronicles the birth, life, and death of a psychedelic rock club located in the heart of Luxembourg City during the late 1960s. The legendary "Dany Cage" club operated for just over two and a half years, yet it left a lasting impression on those who experienced it, contributing to the growing desire for freedom among the youth of the time. The documentary is built around a series of interviews with 18 witnesses from the period. Their accounts are accompanied by archival footage from Luxembourg and other locations, interspersed with fictionalized scenes. The film provides a rare insight into Luxembourgian society at the turn of the 1970s, highlighting the significant role music played in the broader movement toward emancipation.
