Das Feuerschiff
Synopsis
The German lightship *Borkum Riff*, a permanently anchored floating lighthouse, is nearing the end of its service. For his final tour of duty, Captain Johann Freytag brings along his nearly grown, estranged son, Fred. The ship rescues three men stranded in a damaged boat, who are carrying weapons. The captain attempts to avoid conflict, but his crew, his son, and the three armed fugitives repeatedly disregard his advice to remain nonviolent, resulting in a series of violent incidents.
