Synopsis
With each new crime, the department store blackmailer known as Scrooge devises an increasingly sophisticated method of receiving money. The Soko police unit is frequently close behind, investigating thousands of leads and countless clues, yet Scrooge always manages to evade capture. While the officers under Chief Inspector Paule Pietsch face public scorn and ridicule, Scrooge gains a cult-like reputation among the public. However, Pietsch remains convinced: even a phantom like Scrooge will eventually make a mistake.
