Death Note: Light Up the New World

Ten years have passed since the confrontation between Kira and L. Once again, Shinigami are dropping death notes to the ground, leading the world into chaos. Tsukuru is a member of the Death Note special task force, working alongside six other investigators, including Matsuda, who had previously been involved in the Kira case a decade earlier. Mass murders attributed to the death notes occur in multiple locations, including Wall Street in the U.S. and Shibuya in Japan. Renée, a world-renowned private investigator and the rightful successor to L, also investigates these killings. The task force discovers that six death notes currently exist in the world. A computer virus named Kira spreads globally, and a message within the virus demands the surrender of the six death notes. The person in possession of all six death notes seeks to dominate the world. A conflict emerges between those who aim to revive Kira and those determined to stop it.
