Death Row

*Haunted Prison* (also known as *Death Row*) is a horror film adapted from a short story by Kevin VanHook. Set at the fictional Isla de la Roca Penitentiary, the film presents the prison as a place said to have been created by the Devil from the depths of hell, later converted by humans to house the most dangerous criminals in the South. The prison is depicted as a site of centuries of murder and injustice, and is haunted by vengeful spirits. After a bloody massacre of both inmates and guards, the facility was abandoned. The story follows a group of fugitives seeking shelter within the prison's razor-wire perimeter after committing a robbery that resulted in a police officer's death, as well as a documentary film crew who arrive to chronicle the prison's history. As the two groups encounter each other inside the prison's brutal walls, the film questions whether anyone will survive.
