Synopsis
The brutal death of a prostitute leads detectives Braxton and Kennesaw to suspect one of her clients, James Wayland, a brilliant but self-destructive heir to a textile fortune who also suffers from epilepsy. They take Wayland in for questioning, believing they can break him. However, despite his personal struggles, Wayland proves to be a skilled manipulator. During the interrogation, he turns the situation to his advantage, compelling the detectives to expose their own dark tendencies.
