Synopsis
Alan Turing, often regarded as the father of modern computing, worked at Bletchley Park during World War II, where he played a key role in cracking Germany's Enigma encryption device. After the war, he faced persecution in the United Kingdom due to his homosexuality, which was then illegal. He died in 1954 of poisoning under circumstances that remain the subject of speculation.
