Der Kotzbrocken
Synopsis
Sophie Brand is overwhelmed, juggling two jobs as a single mother. A pile of unpaid traffic tickets lands her in court, where the judge sentences her to 300 hours of community service at a home for the disabled. In addition, she is assigned to care for Georg, the judge's brother, a difficult resident who has been confined to a wheelchair since an accident and is known for his bitterness. Despite initial resistance, Sophie gradually begins to connect with Georg. What starts as mutual antipathy slowly transforms into trust, friendship, and even love. The emotional tragicomedy addresses a sensitive and often taboo subject with care and nuance.
