Synopsis
While German women are often viewed as passive witnesses to the crimes of the Nazi regime, many were active participants, displaying brutality and ruthlessness comparable to their more widely recognized male counterparts. In the past 15 years, a new generation of international historians has been uncovering the extent of women's involvement in the atrocities of the Third Reich. By combining these new analyses with compelling archival footage, the film presents previously unknown accounts of women who refused to remain in the background of Nazi history.
