Synopsis
Detective Sergeant Malcolm Ainslie, a former Catholic priest who became a respected police investigator, is about to hear the final confession of a convicted serial killer who is set to be executed in just a few hours. The killer promises to reveal the truth behind his crimes and explain why he confessed to a case that Ainslie has never believed he committed. As the two men engage in a tense and revealing conversation, a complex and winding journey into their shared and individual pasts unfolds, based on the bestselling novel by master storyteller Arthur Hailey.
