Synopsis
The film portrays a single day in the lives of the individuals who work within a police detective squad. At the center is Det. Jim McLeod, a disillusioned officer who oversees a precinct filled with a diverse cast of characters as they confront the city's criminal underclass. Throughout the day, the precinct is visited by a young man involved in minor embezzlement, two burglars, and an inexperienced shoplifter.
