Die Auferstehung
Synopsis
The father has passed away. For years, he had wanted nothing more to do with his children, as they did not agree with his lifestyle. Now, daughter Linda informs the three brothers—Joschi, Jakob, and Uli—and they all gather with their spouses, Fred and Franziska, at the deathbed, which in this case is a new red sofa in the center of the living room of the family home. The father, a former head physician, had been a widower for many years and suffered from Parkinson's disease. In his later years, he developed an exuberant old-age virility, in which his nurse played a significant role.
