Die Fahnderin
Synopsis
The state of North Rhine-Westphalia acquired a CD containing files from a Swiss bank, which includes information on over 800 individuals suspected of tax evasion. Due to a shortage of tax investigation staff, there is a risk that many cases will not be processed before the statute of limitations expires. Tax investigator Karola Kahane selects a particularly high-profile name from the list. Her objective is to ensure that a tax evader who failed to declare more than one million euros faces prison time for the alleged theft from the public.
