Die Lebenslüge
Synopsis
When German workaholic hotel manager Gabriel Brückner dies in a car accident on Mallorca with flight attendant Maren Gernold as the sole passenger, the revelation of their year-long affair becomes known to their respective Bavarian spouses, ex-sculptor Sophie and contractor Michael. As they come to terms with the loss and betrayal, Sophie and Michael find solace in each other and develop feelings for one another. However, their growing relationship faces significant challenges, the most difficult being Gabriel's young daughter Anne, who remains affectionately attached to her late father in a naive and childlike way.
