Synopsis
It all begins with a misunderstanding. Wealthy Polina discovers a sleeping man in her hotel room—business lawyer Friedrich. He claims it was a mistake by the receptionist, and she accepts his explanation. He invites her to play at the casino, noting that she is a lucky child. She plays and wins, and Friedrich, who is under investigation for embezzlement, sees his massive debts disappear. However, his fortune soon reverses. Polina's subsequent losses begin to jeopardize her own financial stability.
