Digital Sam in Sam Saek 2006: Talk to Her

This program presents three digital short films created by Asian filmmakers. In *No Day Off* (39 min), veteran Singaporean filmmaker Eric Khoo portrays the life of a domestic worker who leaves her husband and child to work in Singapore. *About Love* (38 min), directed by Darezhan Omirbayev, is a bitter love story adapted from an Anton Chekhov novel, following a lonely mathematics teacher who becomes infatuated with a married classmate at university. *Twelve Twenty* (30 min), by Pen-ek Ratanaruang, depicts the interactions between a man and a woman during a long-haul flight, where they spend twelve hours and twenty minutes together reading, drinking, eating, watching movies, and sleeping in each other's presence, as though they are a married couple.
