Synopsis

On an unfortunate evening, Louis Cropa, a part-time bookmaker, finds that his restaurant has become a gathering point for conflicting personalities. In addition to dealing with a demanding food critic, Louis must resist a hostile takeover attempt by two gangsters, to whom his sous-chef is in debt. Meanwhile, Louis argues with his son, the restaurant's star chef, whose innovative cooking has contributed to the business's success.
