Synopsis
*The Spirit Molecule* explores Dr. Rick Strassman's pioneering research on DMT, a hallucinogenic compound present in the human brain and in numerous plants, including the Amazonian sacred brew ayahuasca. The film incorporates interviews with a range of experts who discuss their perspectives and experiences with DMT and ayahuasca in their professional fields, as well as conversations with Strassman’s research volunteers. It highlights the profound effects of the compound and introduces broader theories about its potential role in human consciousness.
