Dog Heaven
Synopsis
Poor Pete the Pup is heartbroken when his master, Joe, abandons him to pursue a romantic interest, no longer spending time playing with or fishing with him. In a moment of despair, Pete attempts to take his own life, but a friend dog intervenes just in time. Through a flashback, Pete recounts his troubles to his companion, eventually turning to alcohol and being driven away by Joe. Matters come to a head when another dog causes Joe's sweetheart to fall into a lake, and Pete is wrongly blamed. The story builds toward a resolution: will Pete go through with his suicide, or will Joe ultimately apologize?
