Synopsis
*Dolls* centers on puppeteering as its central motif, thematically connecting to the actions of the live characters. A key storyline follows Matsumoto and Sawako, a young couple whose relationship is on the verge of being ended by Matsumoto's parents, who have insisted that their son participate in an arranged marriage to the daughter of his employer.
