Synopsis
In *Double Take*, director Johan Grimonprez reimagines Alfred Hitchcock as a paranoid history professor who becomes entangled in a dual examination of the Cold War era. The film subverts a carefully selected array of television footage and employs *The Birds* as a central metaphor to explore how catastrophe culture has persistently invaded the domestic sphere, tracing this phenomenon from the origins of moving images to the present day.
